When you parted a disk with cfdisk we have a bug into the french translation.
When we do "[ Écrire ]" :
- Êtes-vous certain de vouloir écrire la table de partitions sur le disque? (oui ou non)*
 non)
AVERTISSEMENT!! Cela pourrait détruire les données sur votre disque!

(* seems that you type an incorrect response)

- Êtes-vous certain de vouloir écrire la table de partitions sur le disque? (oui ou non)
 non)
                                               SVP répondre « yes » ou « no »

But if we type yes or no it's incorrect, whereas just on the top we have the response "oui" or "non".

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. # cfdisk /dev/hdx
2. # "[Ecrire]"

Actual Results:
SVP répondre « yes » ou « no »

Expected Results:
SVP répondre « oui » ou « non »

i'm not sure i get it ... the warning says:

something in French ... (oui ou non)

then there is a question:

SVP répondre « yes » ou « no »

so the problem is that the warning indicates that you are to enter 'oui' or
'non' but in reality you're expected to input 'yes' or 'no' ?

The other way around: it says to enter "yes/no", but one must enter "oui/non".
(I've sent an email about this to the French translator.)

this should be fixed in util-linux-2.13
