Description Marcin Kryczek (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-27 03:02:15 UTC
i use fuse with siefs to mount my siemens mobile phone and i've just noticed it's not pruned from slocate database. i'm not sure which one should be pruned (perhaps both?), couse i see some inconsistency here. my entry in fstab:

/proc/fs/fuse/dev /mnt/siemens siefs user,device=/dev/ttyS1,noauto,baudrate=33600 0 0

(this one is more or less taken from some manual AFAIR)

but then i've got:
<root@CogES>~: mount /mnt/siemens/
<root@CogES>~: mount |grep siemens
/proc/fs/fuse/dev on /mnt/siemens type fuse (rw,nosuid,nodev)

so i suppose fuse is the one, which should be pruned

could you test it ? ;)

put 'fuse' into PRUNEFS in /etc/updatedb.conf and then see if `updatedb` still reads /mnt/siemens ...

get back to us ... need to know whether adding 'fuse' is enough ...
