attached a new ebuild for win4lin-sources to stop the crying .. win4lin-sources-2.6.9-r7 is broken for me.
Created attachment 54538 [details] win4lin-sources-2.6.11.5.ebuild new ebuild emerges okay .. builds fine too.
problem seems there's a missing reference in mki-adaptor reverting to version 1_3_8 to see if it fixes the issue ..
nope that does not fix it .. any body got a clue .. ?
Created attachment 54550 [details] win4lin-sources-2.6.10.ebuild this one does work seem something changed in 2.6.11.5 so that a hanging dependency got left behind
I just noticed that I'm blind .. There's a version 1_3_11 of mki_adaptor as I'm not home I can't test right now but i suspect it has the fix as it was released at the same time as the 2.6.11.5 kernel patch.. anyone want to try? I'll fix tonight

No, the patch file isn't there so this can't work: >>> Downloading ftp://ftp.netraverse.com/pub/testing/kernel/patches/Kernel-Win4Lin3-2.6.11.5.patch --14:58:07-- ftp://ftp.netraverse.com/pub/testing/kernel/patches/Kernel-Win4Lin3-2.6.11.5.patch => `/usr/portage/distfiles/Kernel-Win4Lin3-2.6.11.5.patch' Resolving ftp.netraverse.com... 216.58.162.138 Connecting to ftp.netraverse.com[216.58.162.138]:21... connected. No such file `Kernel-Win4Lin3-2.6.11.5.patch'. Which is too bad. I can't get anything working for Win4Lin beyond 2.6.7-win4lin-r5. 2.6.9-win4lin-r6 cause win to segfault, as does 2.6.11.6 with the pickledonion patch.
patch is available through their web patch download page on www.netraverse.com try that route .. They may be reconfiguring things in the next while as they consolidate onto their win4lin website. I know the patch works for me and that's how I got it so I do not know about the ftp problem you're having.
How about Win4Lin Pro?
for Win4LinPro info see win4lin's website .. so far as I know it does not require kernel patches .. at least according to their website .. also it is only for Windows 2000 and partially supports Windows XP at this time. I'm not sure about NT support check the site.
New ebuild in tree, based on genpatches for security stuff. Thanks.
