After getting a working system. I am trying to get xorg on the system and later a desktop enviornment. When I issue the command "emerge xorg-drivers", I get... !!!All ebuilds that could satisfy "x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers" have been masked. !!!One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-515.65.01::gentoo (masked by: NVIDIA-r2 licenses, ~amd64 (keyword) A copy of the 'NVIDIA-r2' license is located at '/var/db/repos/gentoo/licenses/NVIDIA-r2'. -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-515.49.10::gentoo (masked by: package.mask, NVIDIA-r2 license(s), ~amd64 keyword) var/db/repos/gentoo/profiles/package.mask -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-510.85.02::gentoo (masked by: NVIDIA-r2 license(s)) -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-510.73.05-r1::gentoo (masked by: NVIDIA-r2 license(s)) -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-470.141.03::gentoo (masked by: NVIDIA-r2 license(s)) -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-470.129.06::gentoo (masked by: NVIDIA-r2 license(s)) -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-390.154::gentoo (masked by: NVIDIA-r2 license(s)) -x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-390.151::gentoo (masked by: NVIDIA-r2 license(s)) (dependency required by "x11-base/xorg-drivers-21.5::gentoo[video_cards_nvidia]" [ebuild]) (dependency required by "xorg-drivers" [argument]) For more information, see the MASKED PACKAGES section. I will add that I added x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers to the /etc/portage/package.unmask and it still gives the same error
You need to use package.license.

You can find documentation about managing licenses with Portage in the following wiki pages: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki//etc/portage/package.license https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Working/Portage#Licenses
