Le editor - Terminal text editor LE has many block operations with stream and rectangular blocks, can edit both unix and dos style files (LF/CRLF), is binary clean, has hex mode, can edit files and mmap'pable devices in mmap shared mode (only replace), has tunable syntax highlighting, tunable color scheme (can use default colors), tunable key map. It is slightly similar to Norton Editor, but has more features. I'd like to see this Editor in the repository, so I've created an ebuild. Gonna attach it now.

Created attachment 12942 [details] version-bumped ebuild well, as time passes by, new versions get released. here is the update to the current version. btw: any progress on that? don't you know if you'd like to include it, don't you have time or what is it? i would accept if you chose not to let this get into the tree, it's been long in my overlay-tree and will remain there. i would only like to know if i should care to update this build here on bugzilla. thank you.
