From time to time my computer with X server executed totally crashes (glxgears,tuxracer,licq and many other). The computer does not respond to keyboard or mouse, and I need to do a hard reboot. When I did some googling, I founded similar problems with nvidia 1.0.6629 drivers, so updated my old 1.0.6629-r1 driver to masked 1.0.7167-r1, but this didn't help. (crashes become rare, but they are) If I am using "nv" driver, all problems desappear, but I need 3D acceleration. The kernel and nvidia-glx&nvidia-kernel were compiled using the same version of gcc - 3.3.4 I didn`t see errors in X log and no panic in kernel log. So, what should I do or what I did wrong ?
