There was a new version released, i recognized this because i wanted to bump media-video/goggles (http://www.fifthplanet.net/goggles.html), the new version (0.8.0) depends on fox >=1.4. an excerpt from their page:

I dropped FOX 1.2 support for this release. We're now using the new seven segment widget, which was introduced in FOX 1.4.
