The list of problems with skype in amd64 grows by the day.... It is time for you guys to pester skype about a binary for your arch.
Comment 2 Gustavo Felisberto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-05 16:50:01 UTC
Can someone from the amd64 team take a look? maybe add a package with libjpeg pre build?

benjamin@metis skype $ ldd skype.bin
libjpeg.so.62 => /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 (0x55fcf000)

benjamin@metis skype $ equery belongs /emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62

Skype does work fine here... what verisions of these libs do you have installed? libjpeg _is_ there

No more info, assuming it is fixed. Reopen if needed.
