FYI - I've found reports of similar problem at forums.gentoo.org. They *seems* fixed by disabling parallel building (`MAKEOPTS=-j1 emerge ...`). I'm giving it a try now. I will report back.

So, disabling paralell make fixed the problem for me. Maybe it's time to disable it globally in the ebuild? Feel free to close the bugreport.

New version works fine. Time to close to clean up our beloved bugzilla :-).
