Created attachment 54175 [details, diff] Diff of ebuild from v2.0.6 to v2.2.2 Sorry for the inconvenience. Here is a patch to update the ebuild for solfege from v2.0.6 to v2.2.2. A summary of changes: * KEYWORD x86 -> ~x86 since it's a version bump * removed redundant sed dependency * lilypond is now required * removed tweaking of installation of and fields inside solfege.desktop, since it now ships correct
This ebuild seems working for 2.4.0 and 2.5.1 as well, at least they install cleanly and seems working correctly at first glance.
@flameeyes, this stuff is in portage. If sound herd does not want it any more, then it goes to maintainer-needed, not -wanted. ;)

Created attachment 66995 [details] solfege-2.4.0.ebuild Alright, with the copyright year updated and the proposed patches applied, it would result in this ebuild. Unfortunately I can't add it to the tree, as one of the dependencies (lilypond) explodes. Version bump bug #97574 can not be processed yet, so, now we wait.
Created attachment 67035 [details, diff] Removes lilypond, xsl from deps and adds some doc files My apologies. The last ebuild bump to 2.4.0 works, but has unnecessary deps carried over from previous version. I had realized this, but provided the wrong ebuild. The new version doesn't require xsl or lilypond, because all the docs are prebuilt by the author in his wiki. Unfortunately, solfege-2.4 seems to have other, unrelated bugs. In particular, some of the lesson files are broken, and solfege seems to require =gtk+-2.4* due to API changes. I am attaching the diff for completeness; solfege-3.0 should be released in early September.
