provide emerge --info
does this still happen with 3.3.6?

pleade fix this it's blocking my whole system update :(
Comment 7 Kevin F. Quinn (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-15 08:35:50 UTC
Try removing '-fomit-frame-pointer' from CFLAGS, to see if that's what triggers it.

changing the global system locale to en_US is a workaround for the problem
Comment 10 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-15 01:52:56 UTC
Is this still a problem with the newest stable version of gcc?

Still the same
actually I found out that solution when I was emerging gcc 3.4
Comment 12 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-16 01:03:55 UTC
Can you re-emerge gcc-3.4.4 with your locale set now? It probably failed
because gcc-3.3 was used to compile the stage1 compiler of gcc-3.4.
Comment 13 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-22 21:06:18 UTC
I'll assume this is fixed now. Reopen if not.
