Hi!

This is an ebuild and sundry files for mpdscribble, an mpd client for submitting music data to audioscrobbler. The package comes with a Debian init script, but it seemed easier to write a new one from scratch than try to modify it for Gentoo.

There's also a sample configuration file, and a small editor for the same. These were originally provided in the form of the setup.sh script, but it also installs the packages and seemed to me to be more trouble than it was worth to adapt it. The script to edit the config file is necessary because mpdscribble doesn't seem to md5 the password - you have to have the md5 hash in the config file.

Based on various other mpd clients, I suggest media-sound/mpdscribble for this package.

Jon.

Bah, I rescind this after more testing. Random segfaults are not a good thing for a daemon to exhibit.

Said segfaults seem to be fixed in 0.2.4...
