There's a new version of swfdec which seems to fix a few problems and add abilities... Can we get this entered into portage?

Reproducible: Always

checking for gstreamer-0.8 > 0.8.0 gstreamer-gconf-0.8 gstreamer-interfaces-0.8... Package gstreamer-gconf-0.8 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gstreamer-gconf-0.8.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gstreamer-gconf-0.8' found
configure: error: Need Gstreamer to build

This comes up both with and without GStreamer installed. Could you check upstream on this?

Don: works fine here, what gstreamer packages/versinos do you have installed?

Spyderous has this and an updated version of liboil in his overlay.

It seems to work well for me, perhaps this ebuild can be put in the tree?

Coincidentally, this package links properly against liboil-0.3, providing a
solution to #87401.

The above ebuild tries (and fails) to install a gimp plugin. There seems no USE
that will disable this plugin or am I able to fix the install (with the very
little knowledge I have)

It claims it is unable to write to /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plugins/swf.
