I emerged netscape flash player. I'd like to use it under Opera (staticaly linked) 6.03. I get the following error: /opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins/operamotifwrapper: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory This is under Gentoo 1.4-r1, with gcc 3.2. I use the crypto kernel
Michael, can you tell me whether emerge openmotif helps you? THanks.
Hello openmotif was emerged. This port provides libXm.so.3.0.1 but not the requested libXm.so.2 I created a softlink and its working now, but still with some errors/warnings: /opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins/operamotifwrapper: Symbol `_XmStrings' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking Probablly this helps.
I am having the same problem here. Gentoo-1.4_r1, Opera-static
I had the exact same problem with opera. I was able to fix the issue by doing the following: I unmerged opera-static I then installed the lesstif libraries from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=8596 (there is a source bz2 there) And I then emerged opera-static again. all plugins work. Java, netscape flash, realplayer. I hope this helps out :)
Just committed opera-static-6.03-r1, which has lesstif as a dependency. This, indeed, seems to fix the problem. Angel, thanks for the research! Anyhow, the new ebuild and the ebuild for lesstif are masked for now pending portage unfreeze. You can test them by unmasking in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask. Thanks.
