Comment 1 Darren Davison 2005-03-20 03:01:51 UTC
not sure if it's normal that glibc-2.3.3 is part of the path structure in the error message?
Comment 2 Elfyn McBratney (beu) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-20 04:14:41 UTC
Were there any errors from make or gcc before that snip ?
Comment 3 Darren Davison 2005-03-20 06:17:56 UTC
no, that's the first sign of anything going wrong.
Comment 4 Darren Davison 2005-03-20 10:19:33 UTC
apologies, just tried this again and the following shows up that I missed the first couple of times;

mv: cannot stat `/tmp/portage/glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1/work/build-default-i686-pc-linux-gnu-linuxthreads/sysd-versionsT': No such file or directory

Comment 5 Darren Davison 2005-03-20 22:44:32 UTC
doing a "rm -rf /tmp/portage" followed by re-emerging worked.
Comment 6 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-03-21 05:57:48 UTC
sounds good
