If a cross compiler is detected then cross compile mode will be used.
checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
checking host system type... x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
checking target system type... x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
configure: error: Hugs98 does not yet support differing build/host (i.e., cross-compiling)

The requested config.log:

This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

Comment 1 Andres Loeh (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-19 10:04:49 UTC
Please try again. This should already be fixed.

Thanks,
ks
Comment 2 Peter `MathFox' Roozemaal 2005-03-19 10:21:18 UTC
Yes, things look quite differently now.

FIXED.
Comment 3 Duncan Coutts (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-21 14:52:33 UTC
Yes it looks fine to me too.
(The interesting part of this message is the implication that I have finally got my amd64 gentoo profile installed.)
