emerge --info

am a bit unsure if there actually is a problem. but the case is striking.

after "emerge -uDN @world" installed sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-5.15.52, i have built, installed, and booted that kernel (as described in wiki/Kernel/Upgrade, using make olddefconfig , no questions, no changes).

then i found that entropy, as shown by /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail, is stuck at 256. is this real? or an artifact? after rebooting the previously installed (former stable) 5.15.41, ..../entropy_avail shows again varying values well above 1000, during normal operation of the system. and as other linux systems (suse, ubuntu) do, that i checked.

emerge --info is attached; also /usr/src/linux/.config; any other info wanted?

I was surprised too, but it's normal. Even if you have haveged running.
