Same here.
Oh goody, nntp patches failing again. Well, I'm giving up with it.

I have to ask, though - given that the application of the patch fails, was this actually tested in any way (e.g., built) before going to ~x86? Because I really can't see how it could have been.

Phil
Comment 4 Christopher Korn 2005-03-18 12:32:42 UTC
I tried it with my local testing ebuild. There it works.
But my ebuild with the assumed_charset patch I handed in wasn't tested with +nntp. Sorry for that.

I'll do a cleanup and attach the working one here.

patch-1.5.8.vvv.nntp-gentoo-r2.bz2

This patch should apply against the latest ebuild. However, note that this
patch is dependent on the fact that the assumed_charset patch has been applied
(which is the case with the latest revision bump). Also, the name of the patch
was changed so as not to conflict with the version which would apply against
the previous revision.

confirm patch in comment #5 wfm.

Comment 7 Christopher Korn 2005-03-19 21:51:55 UTC
Confirming too. Patch works fine.
Comment 8 Aron Griffis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-24 20:18:16 UTC
Thanks guys. I was able to use Saleem's patch directly, and appreciate the fact that you took the time to test it. If only bugs.gentoo.org would work like this all the time. ;-)
