Comment 2 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-17 14:08:50 UTC
I guess that's normal, depending on 'arts' not being in USE.
Comment 3 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-17 14:16:24 UTC
It does not really depend on arts, the configure script just detects that, i'll attach a patch to fix this dep.

kdeaccessibility-noarts.patch
Comment 5 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-17 14:32:24 UTC
Ok, that's a reasonable patch. We already had a similar request (bug 83871, which you already saw probably), so let's see if it's accepted upstream in http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100976 ...
Comment 6 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-18 07:39:42 UTC
...mmm, I guess we will live with what upstream decided in http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100976, then.
Comment 7 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-18 08:38:09 UTC
i'm for including this patch at least for us, people not using arts should know what they do
Comment 8 Simone Gotti (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-19 09:33:14 UTC
I'm ok for including this patch only for us.

If you are going to commit it, please do it also for the splitted kde ebuilds so the monolithic ones and the splitted one will remain coherent.
Comment 9 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-19 09:42:15 UTC
But what happens to kttsd if it is compiled with neither arts nor gstreamer?
Comment 10 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-19 09:43:52 UTC
then it should not be compiled
Comment 11 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-13 02:07:57 UTC
Sorry for the delay. Anyway, I really don't feel like going so much against upstrem, so I'm not committing the patch myself, but anyone interested is free to add it and close this bug.
Comment 12 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-16 04:06:11 UTC
