Description Hynek Strnad 2005-03-17 05:50:11 UTC
In GAP4:
When I open "Invoke join editor" from "Contig Comparatore" window, I get new "Join Editor" window which is inactive and all other Staden windows too.
When I open "Contig Editor", sequence isn't displayed, than when I move with horizontal scroolbar, it started to be displayed.

This problem is KDE dependent, in WindowMaker its work fine.
I tryied staden-1.5.3 and staden-1.4.1-r7.
Program didn't produce any error message.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. exec gap4
2. open any DB (*.aux)
3. run: "View" / "Find internal joins"
4. in "Contig Comparator" window press button "Next" or right click on hit and select "Ivoke join editor"
Actual Results:
produce not fully initialized window ("Contig Editor" window without sequence,
title of window is cedit0) and all gap4 windows freeze (can be only shutdown)

Expected Results:
pruduce window with 2 horizontaly aligned sets of sequences

This seems a known issue, not Gentoo-related:
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1107010&group_id=100316&atid=627058

(I don't know why it only affects kde, though)
I hope it will be fixed in the next version...

Last good working version = staden_linux_2003.0b1

I tested all linux - binary releases from:
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=100316
and last good working is:
staden_linux_2003.0b1
