Description Jeffrey Gardner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-15 02:33:43 UTC
Just above code listing 2.8 at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/howtos/index.xml?part=1&chap=1 it says "Now just build glibc, unmerge the emul-* ones and update the base system." which I've heard is inaccurate. It's causing problems for lots of folks, so can we get some clarification please?
Thanks,
je_fro

Danny, please clarify what change you would like made to the upgrade guide. I've never completed an upgrade personally, I just do a clean install using 2005.0 stages - so I'd like to know precisely what the proper procedure is :)

Fixed it myself. It shouldn't have been 'unmerge emul-*' but only 'unemerge
emul-linux-x86-glibc' :-)
