Pretty much, see the summary. Symlinks are created to the file, but no actual binary is installed.

I'd attach the emerge log, but it's 74 megs long.

This package does not appear to be in ::gentoo. What overlay is it from?

Oh, my apologies, I misnamed the package. I meant net-misc/nx-3.5.99.26 (the fact that the source tar is named nx-libs threw me off)
