Description Ian Ellis 2005-03-14 14:33:39 UTC
If I attempt to start k3b while I'm using the ati-drivers I get some colorful vertical lines on my screen while it's loading and my system hard locks (except for the mouse, which I can still move vertically but not horizontally). I can't even get to a tty to kill X. If I switch to the radeon driver and k3b loads fine.

Reassigning to ati-drivers maintainers.

A hardlock is certainly the symptom that something is wrong at the driver level, we cannot do much for that.

Just thought I'd let you know that it's still here with k3b-0.11.22 and gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.11-r4.
Comment 3 Luca Barbato gentoo-dev 2005-04-11 04:02:35 UTC
Could you try the latest driver?
Comment 4 Ian Ellis 2005-04-18 13:30:16 UTC
Yes, it works with the latest driver. Thanks.
