Description Frederic Grosshans 2005-03-14 09:55:16 UTC
Macromedia's Flash recently stopped working in gecko-based browsers (I tested epiphany, Moszilla and Firefox) and in Opera. It worked perfectly well in January.

In fact, the netscape-flash plugins works partially (I just have no image):
on a flash-using webpage (eg http://www.tokyoplastic.com/start.swf ) I
see a gray rectangle instead of the animation, but I can hear the sound
and a right-click on the gray rectangle gives the usual flash menu.

The standalone flashplayer (gflashplayer) works well.

I've got the same problems with the 3 versions of netscape-falshplayer
in portage.

I have no error message with the gecko-based browsers, but Opera (started in a terminal) says the following on flash-enabled webpages:

/opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins/operamotifwrapper-1: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/opt/opera/lib/opera/plugins/operamotifwrapper-2: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

It works now. "System V IPC" wasn't enabled in my kernel.
Enabling it made everything work again.
