Description Nishimura Naoto 2002-09-28 10:46:19 UTC
Hi,

I've updated the semi-1.14.3 ebuild to semi-1.14.4 and added PROVIDE keyword
"virtual/semi-1.14.4".
Since many variants exist in SEMI.

Thanks for the update.

If nothing is broken currently, I'd like to hold off applying this until after
the release freeze is over. Add-on elisp packages have been significantly
overhauled recently (see http://www.gentoo.org~mkennedy/emacs-packages.html).

There will be some inter-namespace moving around of emacs elisp packages such as
apel, flim etc. along with an entirely new mechanism to install an manage elisp
(via. an elisp.eclass). I would like to re-engineer semi for this.

Ok, I see.
I'm looking forward to release these pachages.

And, I've created some ebuilds(semi, flim and more) for elisp.eclass.
May I send them to you directly?

Regards.
Comment 4 Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-10-01 09:05:48 UTC
Sure! Send them to me directly as a tarball and I'll merge them into what I have
and then I'll post an updated archive on
http://www.gentoo.org/~mkennedy/emacs-packages.html

Thanks!

Matt

closing this as it is now in app-emacs (soon to be placed into cvs proper)
