Hi, there is an update to k3b. (0.7.1) I simply copied the ebuild file to the new version name, built the digest, and it all worked. So an easy one ;-)
Well, I tried that too and had some compile problems which are fixed in current k3b cvs. In any case we're in a freeze and so can't add the new ebuild without some overriding reason. When the freeze ends I hope there'll be a new k3b release, if not I'll have to add aptches against 0.7.1.
We now have k3b-0.7.3 in portage, in the testing profile (~x86). If you can test it, we can unmask it fully (x86 profile).
Please note that in the meantime, k3b 0.7.4 has been released (and re-released). Seems like it's mainly a bugfix release, so it shouldn't be a lot of work.
k3b-0.7.4 is in portage, please test and post here if it works (then it can get x86 keyword instead ~x86).
depends on qt 3.1.0, although the author has fixed this and re-uploaded a new version of 0.7.4, I don't want to upgd. my qt (well, not just yet)
k3b-0.7.4 does not depend on qt-3.1 (look at http://k3b.sf.net), it was an error of the author, so you can test it with qt-3.0.x :)
yes I saw that, but the gentoo emerge wants to update my qt to 3.1.0 I could unmerge k3b and install 0.7.4 manually but I'd like to keep as much as possible installed via emerges
emerge /usr/portage/app-cdr/k3b/k3b-0.7.4.ebuild should do the trick.
anyone successful in emerging 0.7.5 ?
k3b-0.7.5 compiles and works ok here. Leonardb, what was your problem?
adding leonardb to Cc, please commit what's your error with k3b-0.7.5.
well .. i addded to this bug before k3b 0.7.5 was in the portage tree .. as we know, now it is .. so as of now.. i have no problems .. i was having the same issue as everyone else.. this was also when i was new to gentoo .. didnt understand that if portage doesnt support it; its not good to install .. thanks ...
