Description Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-12 14:58:44 UTC
I don't remember why keywords were dropped for this version, but there is no -arch - so please give it a try and keyword accordingly.
Comment 1 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-12 15:03:38 UTC
Checking the buglist, perhaps you should have a look at bug #79233
Comment 2 Jason Wever (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-13 12:12:54 UTC
Bug #79233 is definitely the culprit here on SPARC.
Comment 3 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-25 09:55:48 UTC
fails, i won't keyword it:

Comment 4 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-01 05:20:13 UTC
Sparc fails, and it fails intentionally as distributed. It is not allowed in the build of xrootd, and
unix/src/TUnixSystem.cxx does not know about it.
There is detailed information and a strawman patch at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87305 (see also Comment #2 from Jason Wever).

I have marked this version -sparc to make it explicit that as distributed, it is set up not to work on sparc (xrootd).
But as 87305 notes, it is ~sparc-able with a couple changes.

Sorry for the cross-ref bugs; I missed this bug when I was generating the sparc-specific one.
