ibWebAdmin is a web frontend for the InterBase and Firebird database server. It makes the attempt to support all features which InterBase and SQL are offering. Even if this goal is unattainable, quite a few steps have already been done. By now ibWebAdmin has the basic functions for creating, deleting, modifying databases, tables, generators, triggers and domains. It lets you import, export, enter, edit, delete, query, browse your data. Gentoo has phpMyAdmin and phpPgAdmin, but it is missing a web frontend to Firebird databases so I hope this ebuild could be useful. BUGS: The ebuild installs and works for me. ;-) Otherwise, see the project homepage. TODO: - PHP files need to be owned by firebird:root in order to work with PHP in safe mode. Upstream seems very much dead. The Web site is gone, the latest release came out in mid-2006 and there hasn't been any activity in the source-code repository for a long time either. Is there still any user demand for this package?
