update to current version (v1.7 -> v1.8.2) and using flag-o-matic.
Comment 3 Thomas Eckert 2005-03-15 15:08:10 UTC
there was no bug in the pound configure or makefile -- but portage-2.0.51-r15
seems to habe a probem with accepting cmdline-USE-flags.
To make things worse I had a typo in my manual test (writing LDLAGS instead of
LDFLAGS) and thus got the impression of a bug :(

Anyway: the new version from comment #2 is the clean version.

FYI, the append-ldflags needs to go before the econf call because the
Makefile.in uses @LDFLAGS@ which gets replaced on ./configure invocation. In
the future try to test stuff before submitting :)

No need for a revision bump. static support is in cvs.
Thanks for the bug.
