Description Karl Trygve Kalleberg (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-09-26 19:18:15 UTC
bash-2.05a# spamassassin
Can't locate Time/HiRes.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ../lib/5.6.1/i686-linux
../lib/5.6.1 ../lib lib /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl . /usr/bin/lib /usr/bin/site_perl
/usr/bin/../share/spamassassin/lib /usr/bin/../share/spamassassin/site_perl) at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/SpamAssassin.pm line 66.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/SpamAssassin.pm line 66.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/bin/spamassassin line 68.

The desired file lives in:
/usr/lib/site_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux/Time/HiRes.pm
and is provided by
dev-perl/Time-HiRes-01.20-r1

Should it not be installed as
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux/Time/HiRes.pm
instead ?

Karl,

Either 1) re-emerge dev-perl/ExtUtils-MakeMaker -or- upgrade to the r7 of
perl. This is a problem with where the perl MakeMaker was placing some (but not
all) of the perl modules. The first option should work well enough (the r7
merely incorporates the newer MakeMaker directly into the perl build process).
You will then need to re-emerge Time-Hires - you should see it where you
expected it to be, under /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl

Yes, it appears to be fixed now, so I'm closing this one.
