ivo: Could you find out, if this an old (the tarball is from oct. 2003) kde 3.1 version of what is part of kde-base/kdeaddons (or kde-base/kicker-applets, if you use the splitted kde 3.4 ebuilds), please!?
Comment 2 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-05 07:30:10 UTC
I don't think they are the same...
this bug was fixed in in the 3.1 ebuild: bug 79318.
Comment 3 ivo welch 2005-03-05 12:32:58 UTC
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root portage 1025473 Mar 6 2003 xmms-kde-3.1beta1.tar.gz

I do not even know what the splitted kde files are---I am just doing the standard pulls and recompiles, so this should be fairly straightforward.

/iaw

PS: since today, I now apparently need to recompile some stuff, because it now claims that I want the arts plugin, but my kdelibs did not have it. could be because of my portage update, and/or the xmms changes.
Comment 4 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-06 08:35:03 UTC
Unable to reproduce your error here, I have marked xmms-kde-3.1 stable if you would like to try that version. I have successfully compiled this on both 2004.3 and 2005.0 profiles for amd64 and it works just fine in both cases.
Comment 5 ivo welch 2005-04-06 11:57:31 UTC
hi marcus: I reemerged the beta, and the error was still here. I emerged the newer version, the error has gone away. so, this one is a dead bug.

best, /iaw
