Description Lutz Lehmann 2005-03-04 05:32:36 UTC
My system is a Panasonic Toughbook CF28 (P3 mobile 1G, 768MB), running w/ XPSP2 atm. I got myself a fresh install of coLinux 0.6.2 w/ the Gentoo base image provided by the installer. As far as I can tell, both XP and coLinux run rock-stable, and compiling/emerging runs a bit slow but otherwise problem-free, exept for the glibc-2.3.4-20040808-r1 ebuild.

It compiles, installs (into sandbox), emerges, and tries to get rid of the older version. So far, so good, but the entire machine (XP, not just the coLinux) freezes a few seconds after "Safely unemerged already installed instance" or so. Tried several times, but result has never been different.

'emerge --info' gives me:

Portage 2.0.51-r15 (default-linux/x86/2004.3, gcc-3.3.5, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.10-co-0.6.2 i686)

coLinux is not a supported platform, so it's not a critical issue

talk to the colinux guys and report back to us please
