Description Marco Munderloh 2005-03-03 06:13:52 UTC
A linker error appears every time I try to emerge perl or libperl

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge perl or emerge libperl

Actual Results:
The following error appears every time I try to emerge perl:

/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.5/../../../crt1.o(.text+0x18): In
function '_start':
: undefined reference to 'main'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [libperl.so.1.5.8] Error 1

emerging perl instead of libperl produces the same linker error followed by some
other perl-related linker errors.

re-emerging glib, glibc, gcc,... did not help
Comment 2 Marco Munderloh 2005-03-03 06:23:01 UTC
Maybe I should add the compiler call that produces the error:

Is it possible you ccache needs to be cleaned up?

many a month, closing.
