Ths installation of the new ebuild works fine, but the unmerge does nothing. Everything stays in place. may be it is not right the right way of proceeding.
hmm, that is an odd thing. I have emerged and unmerged multiple times here and it works just fine to unmerge. The only files which do NOT get removed are the ones in /etc
It is true that I have tried the ebuild modifying the initial path from / to my home diurectory. I will try with / (original new ebuild) and let you know. Regards. Gilles

Sorry I was too fast. The unmerge does the job right, but the program does not work then. In the ebuild replace ./doinstall.tcl -nox ${D}/usr || die by ./doinstall.tcl -nox -finallib /usr/lib ${D}/usr || die And everything will be fine.
