In the Windows installer for OpenOffice, it is possible to choose which OO components to install (Writer, Calc, Draw etc.). In the Gentoo ebuild, however, we are forced to compile the entire enormous suite. I for one only ever use OO Writer and Calc, so the rest of the suite is really quite useless to me, and since it's so massive, takes much longer than neccessary to compile. Why can't we have USE flags for removing un-needed components? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Basically we need to compile an install set. This includes that all components must be build. The openoffice build and install process is also that complicated that it is not easy to componentize openoffice. If it were easilly done, our priority is with language packs.
