The files PurpleGalaxy.tar.gz and visor.tar.gz currently mirrored in Gentoo distfiles are corrupt, and cause the ebuild to fail.

PurpleGalaxy.tar.gz:
from www.mythtv.org: 876,303 bytes
from mirror.datapipe.net/gentoo/distfiles/: 879,214 bytes

visor.tar.gz:
from www.mythtv.org: 2,833,774 bytes
from mirror.datapipe.net: 2,837,760 bytes

Ok, I am reuploading those 2 now to the distfiles mirror, so it'll be cleared up when they resync.
