Description Randall 2022-04-07 17:56:33 UTC
The recommended "Fast Native Indexer" for Media Indexing doesn't work. Selecting "Scan Filesystem Directly" works.
Comment 1 Randall 2022-04-07 17:57:14 UTC
While having "Fast Native Indexer" selected, Elisa cannot find files, placed in the assigned Music folder.

Missing emerge --info, missing emerge -vp elisa, please test 21.12.3...

Comment 6 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2022-04-07 20:14:17 UTC
Are symlinks involved in your directory structure?
Comment 7 Randall 2022-04-07 20:23:11 UTC
No, there isn't.
Comment 8 Randall 2022-04-08 17:45:42 UTC
So funny enough when I tested 21.12.3 yesterday, I had the same behavior as 21.08.3.

Today, everything updated to 21.12.3, now I have the inverse happening...so the Fast Native Indexer works, but the "Scan Filesystem Directly" option doesn't.

What about 22.04.3 or 22.08.1?
Comment 10 Randall 2022-10-11 23:19:01 UTC

I'm not using KDE atm, so I don't have a way to test it.

Not necessary to use a community, just elisa would work.
