IPv6 diff 13 is available at "http://www.fefe.de/ucspi/ucspi-tcp-0.88-ipv6.diff13.bz2": * 20020917: uploaded ucspi-tcp diff13, now with IPv6 transport for the resolver. * 20020904: uploaded ucspi-tcp diff12, fixes EAFNOSUPPORT socket_tcp6 bug. Please use this new patch. Thanks!
A new ebuild is already in portage (-r4). The problem is that the ipv6 patch conflicts with the ssl patch so I need to work out the rejections and make a new patch. As soon as I have that worked out I will let you know. Until then, if you are just looking for the ipv6 support you can emerge the ebuild and it will work just fine for you. I just didn't want to release the fix of ipv6 just to break ssl... Anyway... Let me know if -r4 works for you.
We are back to a full portage freeze so I will be holding off work on this until the freeze is lifted. By that time new patch releases for both ssl and ipv6 will be out hopefully :) In the mean time I'd still like to hear if you have success using the ebuild with diff13.
-r4 works fine for me, thanx! The only problem is that emerge wants to install -r3 on update because -r4 is masked. But I just have to be careful and emerge the updates explicitly.
As a working ebuild with the latest ipv6 patch is available in portage, I am closing this bug. Upstream will work out the differences in the patches eventually. As ssl and ipv6 support work well together again, a new version will be unmasked in portage.
ucspi-tcp-0.88-r4 has now been updated in portage to install using either the ipv6 or the ssl patch with the ipv6 patch taking preference. Still marked unstable.
sys-apps/ucspi-tcp-0.88-r4 works fine for me (both ipv6 and ssl in USE, IPv6 support of ucspi-tcp works).
ucspi-tcp-0.88-r4 has been marked stable in portage.
