As of feb 20th 2005. Entrance is built dissalowing remote connections nomatter what.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge entrance
2.entranced
3.xhost +remotehost
4. (on remotehost) export DISPLAY=otherhost:0.0
5. (on remotehost) xeyes

Actual Results:  
xeyes quits with an error that it cannot start.

Expected Results:  
xeyes starts on this host.

If this is because bug 31867 then I would say let it depend somehow on ipv6. Or
have a nother option that makes this changeable after emerging. Granted that a
lot of systems do not need remote access. Some do however.

remove the patch locally

either way, no real clean solution exists for this problem ... we're waiting on a refactor from upstream

Atleast, it is now documented here. As long as I don't forget deleting the patch after every update.

Are they looking at this problem upstream however? I would hope so.
