please attempt ebuild http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=1
I'm going to work on this tomorrow ... regards Samir ;)
This won't work out, because the core of the program ist not open-source. You can read the licence on german here: http://www.applejuicenet.de/10.0.html There's on part, which says that without permission of the owner you're not allowed to redistrubte it. So does it make sense to make an ebuild for the GUI only ?
yes, we can add RESTRICT="fetch" to force mirrors not to download files. You can look at app-emulation/cedega ebuilds for more examples.
Ok, things changed. I think we can also make a core ebuild without the the restrict option, because I got the permission of the project owner, that we're allowed to distribute the core as ebuild. You can check that in this thread : http://community.applejuicenet.de/index.php?showtopic=12192&hl= btw: it's on german again ;) Unfortunately, I've some problems writing the ebuild at the moment. Furthermore I'd consider, if we should make ebuilds for the snapshot versions of core and gui ? The majority of AJ Users use the snapshot versions and also the stable version of the GUI is somehow a little screwed (at least on my maschine ...).
Reopen if you have an ebuild. Meanwhile, marking LATER.
