The attached patch modifies the daemontools ebuild to use dietlibc (instead of glibc) if the (new) USE flag 'dietlibc' is set.
Please add this line to /usr/portage/profiles/use.desc after applying the patch:

dietlibc - link against dietlibc (a stripped-down glibc replacement)

glibc is the only currently "supported" c library
