libmatroska 0.7.5 is in portage, mkvtoolnix 1.4.0 is needed to work with libmatroska 0.7.5. (version 1.0.1 will neither compile nor run with current libmatroska)
Version bump seems to work. Please put in portage.

Aside from compatibility with the newest libmatroska, it seems there are some great new features in mkvtoolnix 1.4.0, like concatenation of video files :-)

You can remove oggvorbis? media-libs/flac of this line

for lastest ebuild

for lastest ebuild à added flac use flag so that's not needed anymore in oggvorbis.

@gentoo team
imho 1.0.1 could be marked stable and this one ~x86
other arch should also work
