Description kaouete 2005-02-26 08:58:27 UTC
Hi,

Looks like wxGTK 2.5.4 is out. Maybe a new ebuild is needed for it, when i start compiling it on my box, it looks like it is looking for some build to activate or not :
libmspack
sdl
gnomeprint

maybe it can be some uses to add, and add the right configure options ?

Thanks for your work on this ebuild.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

wxGTK-2.5.4.ebuild

this ebuild has two additional "USE" options adding "gnomeprint and sdl"
functionality. I didn't know how to make gnomeprint option behave the way I
wanted with just "gnome" in use, but this way it al least works and is more
verbose about what it does (suggest at what level gnome integration is present)

If someone knows how to change it to simply "gnome" as the use	flag i'll be
happy to is it :)
Ebuild does not contain "libmspack" option as I wasn't too sure about what
package was required for it.

application compiles fine on x86 machine (..."march=pentium3 -Os -fomit-frame-pointer"). Apps compiling agaist it as amule and mkvtoolnix compile as well

great, but,

looks like your forget a little "4" line 76 ^^

i dont know what it is doing here, but i'm not sure it's normal :]

exGTk-2.5.4-radiobox.patch

this is a patch that I fetched from wxwidgets CVS and who fixes a bug with
wxRadioBox (there is still an open gnome bug,
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148154#c8). I'm not sure that there
weren't changes in other files that I didn't notice, but wxGTK compile here
with this patch :)

there is another problem, this snapshot is incompatible with wxPython-2.5.4.1_pre20050226 and with future 2.5.4.* releases

see http://lists.wxwidgets.org/cgi-bin/ezmlm-cgi?12:mss:2001:200503:meilegebnedhjbfnlapg and http://lists.wxwidgets.org/cgi-bin/ezmlm-cgi?12:mss:2002:200503:dlednaidadehkblpjhcc

IMHO, the best option would be waiting for wxGTK 2.6 release, scheduled for this month.

I'm closing this because I'm about to remove all the 2.5* versions. The radiobutton fixes are in 2.6.0, which is going to be in CVS soon (bug #89937). The gnomelibprint is detected by configure (may add a USE flag though) and the sdl for audio USE flag has been added to the 2.6.0 ebuild.

Thanks
