The 2004.3 livecd doesn't recognize the sata disk in an Asus K8V SE Deluxe, nor in the Via bus (onchip) nor in the Promise bus (onboard) without "doscsi", nor there a module that could cope with this (nor even the ide-disk that was used with the deprecated 2004.2, in any way I think that it would not work with the kernel of the 2004.3 release). And with "doscsi" option in the boot, it hangs in a "sata_sis" module.

modprobe sata_via should make it work

Works with 2005.0 and 2005.1 installcds.
