Portage master now has GLEP 78 ("gpkg") binpkg support, but I think portage-utils' e.g. qmerge lacks support for it for now.

fwiw support is in portage-3.0.31+ and GLEP should be submitted to council for approval shortly

we'll change the default to gpkg in portage soon...
