jumpnbump-1.50-r2.ebuild, now adds menu entry

This ebuild adds a menu entry... Although, I might add that you'd need to use
the command line to use the networking support. That is, unless I missed the
interface to do that, or unless the developers decide to add that type of
interface.
Comment 3 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-15 04:22:08 UTC
What did you mean by needing the command line for networking support?
Comment 4 Josh Nichols (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-16 21:19:54 UTC
Sorry I wasn't clear. The networking stuff, like connecting to another game, listening on a port, etc, is all done through command line arguments. So, by having a menu item, you would have to to choose some command line arguments for the entry, with it not making much sence to have network command line options set for a menu item.

On a unrelated note, apparently jumpnbump installs a binary called jumpnbump-xdialog, which as it might suggest need xdialog.
Comment 5 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-26 15:19:49 UTC
So should we remove the xdialog version when USE != X?
Comment 6 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-26 15:29:14 UTC
you're not following the instructions in the ebuild. ;-)
Comment 7 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-26 16:03:17 UTC
Eh?

I didn't see any instructions in the ebuild. Even looking a second time.
Perhaps it's the stress. Yeah. That's it. Stress.

Oh yeah, wouldn't it also need to dep on xdialog if it is being installed?
Comment 8 Kåre Baastrup 2005-08-17 09:06:10 UTC
Hi,:-)
Is it ready for portage?
Comment 9 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-17 09:48:50 UTC
in cvs. resync/remerge for the menu entry.
