I have a Brother HL5140 Laserprinter that works with Cups + Foomatic and the hl1250 ppd from Foomatic (This ppd is recommended for HL5040 and my printer is the successor) - but only with "normal" ghostscript, with ghostscript-afpl it doesn`t even print the CUPS test page. Created attachment 64957 [details] an updated ebuild with support for hl1250 hl1250 is not included in ghostscript-afpl. copy the 2 files from http://www.linuxprinting.org/download/printing/ghostscript-8.x/drivers/hl1250/ to /usr/local/portage/app-text/ghostscript-afpl/file/ and the included ebuild to /usr/local/portage/app-text/ghostscript-afpl/ ebuild /usr/local/portage/app-text/ghostscript-afpl/ghostscript-afpl-8.15.ebuild digest emerge ghostscript-afpl it works for me...
Can you please post a diff instead of a full ebuild? diff -u old.ebuild new.ebuild Do you know why the code is not in upstream afpl? Any chance to get it in there? Usually we are not particulary fond of carrying around something like this in our ebuilds ..
