The galeon cvs ebuild does not (or at least no longer) work. I think this file did work in the past, but that an update of portage changed the requirements of an ebuild file. The problem is that this package does not have a SRC-URI variable. It seems that portage REQUIRES a SRC_URI variable. Or at least, if the ebuild does not specify one, it tries to guess one. SOLUTION: add an empty SRC_URI variable to the ebuild. So: SRC_URI="" For a reason I don't know, the position where you add this line to the ebuild is important. If you add it below the HOMEPAGE variable, it works fine. But if you add it more to the top of the ebuild, it doesn't work.
