I encountered a bug with hexchat-2.14.3-r101 involving a g_utf8_validate segfault in glib/gtk when clicking a certain problematic URL

We determined the bug was fixed by this commit 
https://github.com/hexchat/hexchat/commit/1f5c95d9e92360bb72ad415aca6698af8774b094

Version hexchat-2.16.0 incorporates this commit, and we should get this stabilized, since its been in tree for a while, and the old version is old.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click this URL https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/RKwb5NTZ/%2Fetc%2Fconf.d%2Fnet in hexchat 2.14
2. Segfault



Expected Results:  
Please stabilize Hexchat 2.16 soon
