Description andi_s 2005-02-23 08:04:13 UTC
see http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-287158-highlight-.html

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.install tulip drivers
2.adsl-start
3.generate 100% CPU load (i.e. emerge)

Actual Results:
adsl-connection will be dropped after a short time

Expected Results:
adsl-connection should be stable

seems to be a generic tulip problem - at least on slow systems

Comment 3 andi_s 2005-02-27 01:06:50 UTC
seems to be a hardware/driver conflict with nvidia-fglrx drivers, after removing them currently (have not done a long time test) everything seems to work fine, so i am not anymore sure, if this problem is tulip-driver related...
Comment 4 andi_s 2005-02-27 09:54:05 UTC
hmmm... the problem seems not to be nvidia related. even the connection was more stable without the nvidia drivers, the problem appeared again )-:
